Terms and Conditions

By submitting this form you are giving ProjectPhoto.com and its owners (herein referred to as US or WE) the right to display your image (herein referred to as THE IMAGE) at the Project Photo website – www.project-photo.com. You are granting US the right to use THE IMAGE in any form (digital, print, video, etc.) to help advertise and promote the Project Photo website.

You agree that THE IMAGE you have submitted is your own work and that you are the copyright holder. Submissions found in violation of copyright will be removed and the submitter risks having all his/her images pulled from this website. Images that WE feel are too graphic, of an adult nature or not in good taste will not be posted.

Image credit will be given for all submissions displayed at Project Photo in the form of the photographers name (the “Your Name” field in the image submission form above) which will be linked back to your website (the “Your Website” field in the image submission form above) if a link is provided. Links that WE feel are spam or inappropriate will not be linked – most likely the image submission will be ignored altogether.

By checking the “Yes, you can publish my image.” checkbox in the image submission for you are granting US the right to print and publish THE IMAGE submitted in a book if WE should ever publish one. News: 2010-09-19 Emotions Project Added

We’ve added our first “Open to the Public” photo project to the site. It’s called Emotions and will be an ongoing project to try and collect as many photographs of humans expression emotions as we can. There’s a list of emotions on the site to help see what we’re after. The project doesn’t officially open until October 1, 2010 – which is why you don’t see a thumbnail image for the project. But don’t let he official start date stop you, you can start submitting your photos at any time!

Project Description

Back in 2008 and recorded on the old Project Photo website, I did a project called “Emotions”. The goal was to shoot at least 25 images of various emotions from a list I put together. It was an interesting project that I really enjoyed. Rather than re-post the images from that project I’m just re-starting it as an ongoing project. This time there is no time limit, no goal to get a set number of shots and this time the list of emotions has been expanded.

Please note that this is the first “open to the public” project here at the new Project-Photo.com website. If you’re interested in joining in please use the Image Submission form. Please make sure that you read over all the text on the page especially the Terms and Conditions.

This is a list of emotions for the ongoing Emotions project. The idea is to capture photographs of people going about their business portraying one of the emotions on the list. And yes I know the list contains more than just what one would consider an emotion. Feelings, personality traits, etc. are also on the list. I’m unsure if those will be used yet or not.

I quickly tossed this list together so it really wasn’t checked for any “emotions” that may be the same thing. I’ll probably edit it at a later date.

The Tilt-Shift Fakes project is both a photography project and a digital manipulation project. The method for faking a tilt-shift photo comes from www.TiltShiftPhotography.net – it’s easy to understand and follow and is just a ton of fun to play around with.

Dan and his wife, Brooke

Dan has always been interested in photography but never really took the leap into it until early in 2006. About a month before taking a trip to New Jersey and New York he bought a decent point-and-shoot digital camera, headed out to the park to get familiar with it and became instantly hooked.

It wasn’t long after he exhausted the limitation of the point-and-shoot camera that Dan decided to step up to a dSLR and bought the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. Equipped with only the kit lens (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6) he quickly found that photography would be something he’d soon start to consider more than just a hobby.

Dan quickly surrounded himself with everything photography related he could get his hands on. Hitting the library for books, reading online for tips and advice and more importantly his camera and its manual. Granted it’s not a top of the line camera but you have to start somewhere in this very expensive hobby.

He recently started a website called Photo-52.com to help others learn about photography. While he does his best to provide inspiration to up and coming photographers, he knows that he still has a lot to learn himself.
